The show at The Underground saw the band delivering new material against a backdrop of original film projections by Ant.Cinema.

The highlight of Venus Bogardus’ west coast tour this February was certainly getting to play the afterparty for the opening night of The Beebo Brinker Chronicles stage play, which made its west coast debut at Brava! for Women in the Arts, the fabulous theater in the Mission district in San Francisco. Topping it [...] Venus Bogardus are confirmed to play the Norman Music Festival on April 25 at 3:00 pm at the Red Room venue, 114 Main Street. The festival is FREE to the public, and features headliners The Dirty Projectors on the main stage (outside) this year. [...] Wes White of Glastonbury Festivals and ‘the genius behind ATTACK!!!! Magazine’ picks Venus Bogardus’ February 2009 ’100th show’ gig at The Croft, Bristol, for Gig of the Year. The official street date for Spitting at the Glass has been scheduled for February 9, 2010. The Santa Fe album launch party originally scheduled for December 12 has been rescheduled to Friday, February 5, at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame. More tour and album news coming soon. Venus Bogardus is booking a west coast tour in support of the new album Spitting at the Glass – kick-off and ending show dates are anticipated for Santa Fe and Albuquerque, including a tour launch show at Cowgirl Hall of Fame – stay tuned for details.
